Operations Manager, UK or Abu Dhabi based. Salary ££

Working for a dynamic start-up with an exciting travel proposition delivering travel brands for lifestyle icons and inspiring individuals. The Operations Manager will be the latest hire into this unique business, a key role in a small team to deliver the successful and profitable running of all trips. You will oversee the day to day operation of bespoke curated specialist trips, including trip management, supplier contracting and guest support. This role will manage all aspects of Health and Safety, build relationships with local DMC’s including owning SLA’s, own the supplier database and quality control the trips. You will oversee a programme of independent, freelance guides, trip budgeting, pricing and post-trip reconciliation.

With your operational expertise, as the demand builds, you will need to expand out the team, scaling up when required, manage workflow and resource. Your experience and visualisation will help inform technology, process and implementation ideas.  As Operations Manager incident management, emergency procedures and customer support will be within your remit.

Experience working as an Operations Manager within a Tour Operator/DMC business focused on specialist, small group travel is needed.  You must be used to working with complex itineraries, able to implement process and structure in a fast moving, entrepreneurial growing start-up.  You’ll thrive on a challenge, be able to establish the lead on key projects and be excited by a role that you can join at the start of the business’s journey and see the future potential. Able to take a hand’s on approach but with a strong voice to bring in best practice and deliver Operational excellence. Commercially focused and customer centric – product contracting, supplier negotiating and product development will be part of the role.

Currently based in Abu Dhabi, this role can be based in Abu Dhabi or remote.
