This role comes with equity share for a small, but fast growing business that have an excellent growth trajectory thanks to VC backing. They are really shaking up ecommerce within their sector and need someone to drive forward their innovative, high security and performance micro-services architecture.
As the CTO, this person will collaborate with the CEO to define a technical vision and roadmap that will align with the businesses ambitious goals. You will be hands on in the architecture and development of existing and future platforms, leading a small team of developers (with a view to growing this number) in maintenance and enhancement projects, as well as new product initiatives.
The environment is AWS and Kubernetes, Python, Django, although they want to migrate over to Golang. Originally built as a monolithic architecture, they want to move to Microservices.
Their CRM, ecommerce and inventory platforms are all proprietary tech. Voice activated technology is something they want to explore along with AI and machine learning.
